I started the Daily Print project in February of 2008 as a way of keeping myself motivated and connected to folks who supported my work. I wanted to stay excited about what I was doing and make sure that I was in the darkroom every day or two. Shooting film comes easily for me, and in this digital age it's easy to think that once a negative is developed and scanned and seen by a few people on the web, that the work is complete. Well maybe it's not!
I want to make tangible things that can be held in the hand; I want the constant challenge and joy of the darkroom. I want people to be able to see what a hand-made print looks like, experience what it feels like hanging on their walls.
In exchange for the wonderful support of the subscribers & collectors all around the world, who receive an email each morning (or late late evening if they're in California), I like to offer these prints at a greatly reduced price. There's only one of each print. It's marked Daily Print and signed & dated on the back, and when it's gone it's gone. At the end of the week it goes into my catalogue to be exhibited or sold at full price.
I hope you enjoy them.
